This was a group project, where I was in charge of illustration while my partner, Eddie Guerrero, did layouts. The article we were given was ‘Taking a knee: Why are NFL players protesting and when did they start to kneel?’ I created all of the illustrations as well as multiple drop caps which didn’t all end up being used.

The illustration style took inspiration from the Black Panther movement and it was made to look like a screen print. This spot illustration is one of many that I made with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator that we didn’t end up using.
