This campaign was a group project where we had to come up with an event or place in Dallas, and our group came up with Thrive! A Children's Sensory Museum, because though there are multiple museums in Dallas, they don't have a children's museum. It's sensory because it allows kids to develop their sensory and motor skills while playing, and it also targets special needs children as well. All of the work included was my contribution to the project. The other members of the group were Ollie Katz, Michelle Kwon, Peyton Pogue, and Emmalee Clubb.
I designed this logo for Thrive! The colors were from a simple color palette that our group decided on together to be used throughout all of the branding and deliverables. The type was hand-drawn in a way to convey movement, growth, and playfulness. I also created a quick logo animation with Adobe After Effects to be used by the group for the website loading screen and in other places on the website and mobile app.
To advertise our museum, I created a billboard, a bus wrap, and an Instagram video ad. I especially loved making the billboard; each letter is meant to portray one of the five senses, tying into the sensory experience. This billboard is fun and shows off our logo. The Thrive! bus ad is simple yet fun, driving around Dallas and bringing a bit of color to the busy streets. These fun shapes are a big part of the branding and were drawn by group member, Ollie Katz, who did all of the illustrations.
This Instgram ad, made in Adobe After Effects, is meant to target mostly the parents, but also the children. It gives a glimpse into what Thrive! is, a place where parents and their kids can go to have fun and learn together. A small piece of Thrive! to take home, these pins are perfect little souvenirs for children to wear anywhere! The Thrive! backpacks are handy for school and a perfect place to display our pins. Between choosing a colored backpack and an assortment of pins, each one is unique!
